 Frequently Asked Questions:

Date/Time:

Saturday April 27th from 11am to 2pm

Location

Orscheln Farm and Home. 2701 S Jack Kultgen Expy, Waco, TX 76706.  Orscheln is on the access road of I-35 at the Valley Mills Drive intersection. It shares a parking lot with Starbucks, Bubba's 33, Zoe's and Chili's.

Cat Carrier/Travel Tips:

Take the carrier out of storage a week or more in advance and place it near where the kitty is being fed. You may even want to begin feeding the kitty inside the carrier so it will become comfortable going in before taking the car ride. You might like to do a practice run by asking the kitty to calmly walk into the carrier for a treat or when hungry for a meal.

Dog Travel Tips:

A walk before the car ride for the microchip might calm a super excited dog. Check the collar for proper fit. It should be snug, but not tight. You shouldn't be able to wiggle it forward and off over your dog's ears and head. Be sure your dog is hydrated and has a small snack at least two hours before the car ride. Bring favorite treats to reward your dog for good behavior. Swing through Starbucks for a "puppaccino" afterwards.

Chip Info:

The chips we will be using are HomeAgain PetRescuer. The national registration is included and we do this process for you. We recommend that you later visit the HomeAgain site and add additional content and a backup friend or family contact info (someone not in the same household). You may be asked for additional fees a year after implanting. These are for extras and not required for your contact info to remain in their system well beyond your pet's lifetime.
